When are you giving it?

Their year starts the day they open it, not the day you pay. Until then the castle is yours to fill.

The day you'll hand it over

Anything up to 12 January 2027. Giving it today is fine too — pick today and you can hand it over this afternoon.

Between now and then, you and the people you invite can fill it with photographs. That is the joy of the gift: a castle with the presents already in it is a better gift than an empty one. You can move the day or hand it over early whenever you like.

One seat is kept for The Keep’s new owner. Until you hand it over, that leaves 4 for you and the people you invite — so 5 in all once it is theirs. Worth counting heads now rather than after you have paid.
